Kyle proposed on a mountain in Breckenridge Colorado. Kyle had asked if I would want to go on a ski trip with some of our closest friends. I of course said, yes that sounded like a blast.  Our first day some of our friends recommended taking an early AM hike the following morning before skiing. They promised the most beautiful views so of course I was in, Kyle however, wasnt totally sold on the plan (which was just good acting on his part come to find out).  He finally agreed so the next morning, bright and early, we all got ready to go on a hike. We walked down an icy path to an overlook area with the most breath taking views! Our friends wanted their picture first and asked if I would take it. I said yes and helped to find the perfect lighting. To no surprise, I wanted a picture next! Kyle and I found the perfect spot with an amazing mountain back drop, I smiled and looked at the camera and he got down on one knee. I said, YES, turned around to be surprised by both of our parents. It was absolutely perfect!

For our theme, I was going for very romantic, light and elegant!  We decorated our venue with tons of white and blush florals, greenery, white candles, as well as gold and charcoal accents. The day came together even better than I ever dreamed it would! Our groomsmen wore charcoal suits with suspenders and floral ties which matched our bridesmaids dress perfectly. My bridesmaids wore an assortment of beautiful Sorella Vita dresses in the colors Stardust and Vintage Rose.

I absolutely loved everything about my dress!  It was pretty, elegant and a little bit of sexy all in one.  My dress was mermaid style with a beautiful cap sleeve, lace back, intricate beading throughout, and the most amazing tool train.  It was so perfect!

Every shopping experience we had at Michelles was absolutely wonderful!
We worked with Melinda for bridal dress shopping, bridesmaids dress shopping, tux shopping and mother of the bride dress shopping and I cant say enough good things about her. Melinda and the rest of the staff was nothing but amazing for every experience we had at Michelles.

My most special memory from our wedding was the ceremony! Everything from walking down the aisle to the kiss was everything I hoped for and more. We had one of our best friends officiate our wedding, he goes by Preacher Patt, and he did a phenomenal job. Our ceremony was personal and created just for us. It was the most special moment Ive ever had. In a room of 200 people the only person I saw was Kyle! We laughed, we cried and we laughed some more, it was by far the best 20 minutes of my life.

Relax.  I know, I know, that is way easier said than done on the biggest day of your life. I went into the day with the mindset Ill be married at the end of the day which is all that matters in the end.  This helped me a ton, I wasnt on edge, I wasnt nervous, I just went with the flow. Everything turned out, for the most part, how it was supposed to.
