It was the most perfect day I had always dreamed of.
It was a beautiful fall day, 55 and sunny (cant beat that weather for the Saturday after Thanksgiving!). The ceremony was at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mahomet and the reception was at the IHotel in Champaign. We were surrounded by all of our loving family and friends. One of the highlights of our reception was definitely our band, Endless Summer Band. They kept the dance floor rocking all night long!
Our reception venue was the IHotel. We are both from the area and have attended several events there before. For those that have had receptions there, they raved about the positive experience and great service. After doing it ourselves we would agree!
Bryan and I both love snow skiing/snow boarding and with it being a late fall, almost winter wedding we went with a ski/snowboard theme. Our name place cards were ski lift tickets and our tables at the reception were ski resort names we have visited or would like to go to.
My favorite parts of wedding planning were picking out my wedding dress and also spending lots of time together with Bryan planning our perfect day.
My favorite parts of the wedding day were the first look with Bryan and walking into our reception room for the first time as Mr and Mrs Bryan Carper. Neither of us had seen the room before we got announced as Mr and Mrs so it was a big wow moment for us when we walked in!
I love how unique and detailed my dress was! I got so many compliments on my dress. I had a wonderful time shopping for my dress. Melinda made it a very fun and memorable shopping experience.
