With Halloween only a few days away, we can't stop talking about candy and costumes. So naturally around Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo, we turn our Halloween ideas into a themed wedding idea!  We LOVE fun and festive holiday themes, and the crazy settings and unique ideas that go along with them! One idea that we hear so much about for weddings receptions are the still-popular candy buffets. There could never be a more perfect setting for a CANDY buffet than an October wedding! These bars feature tons of different candies for guests to eat, and take home. This is a great time and money saver instead of doing individual favors. Plus, it's A LOT more fun and will get your guests out of their chairs to check it out! buffet_1 So now you want to do this yourself, right? Well here are some great resources we found to help: Candy Warehouse: Ooooohhh...Candy Warehouse, you say?! Who knew such an awesome place even existed? Not only do they have great tips, but you can also buy all your candy there. They even have candy buffet kits, if you're not sure you can decide on the perfect candy yourself. buffet_2 The website is fantastic and easy to navigate. It even sorts the candies by colors, and helps you decide how much candy to buy! Candy Warehouse even has YouTube videos on how to set up your candy buffet. Maybe you should just invite them to your wedding?! Hmmmm... buffet_3 Michaels: The mother land for all DIYers. Micheal's has a great selection of the commonly used apothecary jars in beautiful shapes. This site offers craft advice on decorating the jars using matching ribbons, paint, vinyl, and more. Plus they also carry a selection of organza bags, which could be used for take home candy! And of course, if you're sticking with the Halloween theme, they do that too. One stop shopping. On a budget? Try the dollar store approach! Vases glued on to glass candle sticks are a brilliant and budget-friendly way to get the apothecary jar look for a smaller investment!  buffet_5 Not getting married in October? That's ok...no matter what your wedding style a candy buffet can fit right in. It's not just about Halloween weddings. How about a circus, or carnival theme, with orange marshmallow peanuts, lollipops, and bubble gum. Or a winter wedding with blue and white rock candy and kisses wrapped all in silver? Your guests will love the candy bar, and your wedding colors can be inspiration enough to find something that goes with your big day! Giving out loads of delicious candy to your friends is not just reserved for Halloween anymore. Have fun with your interpretation, and don't forget to brush your teeth after all that candy! michelles_logo_1
