How they met: We met in our college small group at church. I had seen him around and heard about him while we were in high school, but we didnt officially meet until college!

How he proposed: He had his mom ask me over for lunch one Sunday after church. She told me lunch wasnt going to be ready for awhile so Adam asked if I wanted to go on a walk. This was a common thing we did, we would take walks around Meadowbrook Park. This time though he wanted to be adventurous. He took me on a trail where there were no trespassing signs everywhere. We had to be sneaky and we were walking through trees and prairie fields! We were walking talking and laughing for awhile and we finally came to a point where I saw a blanket, a picnic basket, and a Bible! Adam had  me read the passage Matthew 19:4-6 out loud to him (this is scripture about a wife and a husband becoming one flesh.) After I read the scripture I noticed Adam engraved our names as Adam and Cassandra Blackman on the Bible. He then got on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so sweet! After that we enjoyed our favorite snacks and Welchs grapejuice ;] as we had a picnic! We came home to a house full of people ready to celebrate our engagement!
