Where do you go to find Cinderella, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Superman all in the same place?! The wedding of Ashley Wenzel and Josh Drake, OF COURSE!
This fun couple finally wed on the best day of the year for them, MAY 4th, official Star Wars Day!
Ashley and Josh's fun and creative wedding ideas have been the topic of more than one wedding blog here. It has been exciting to follow the preparations, and to finally see this adventure come to life!
University Place Christian Church made a beautiful setting for the wedding. Josephine Leonard Photography captured many romantic moments of the couple, in addition to the crazy fun at the reception.
Ashley and Josh have had so much fun planning and making DIY things for the wedding including the bouquets, boutonnieres, table favors, invitations, programs and centerpieces. "I think all the DIY we put into it made it a little more special for me", said Ashley "People would compliment one of those and all I could think was 'frick yeah, I did that!'"
In addition to having the Star Wars Trilogy playing at the reception, Chewbacca (the Bride's brother) made a special appearance! Also appearing: Snow White escorted by Darth Vader! (Don't kids always steal the show?!)
Chewbacca, The father/daughter dance, playing basketball with her new hubby, and the photo booth ranked the highest in funniest moments from Ashley and Josh's big day! The father/daughter dance was such a hit it even debuted on youtube! 
What day would be complete without a few awesome super heros amongst the cast of characters? Josh and the Groomsmen have it covered! Josh is a huge Superman fan, and was able to bring his own personal touches to the wedding with his Superman socks, cuff links, and super secret undershirt! What will these modern day super heros do without a phone booth to change in? 
When asked to give advice to other upcoming Brides, Ashley's reply was "Plan things as early as you can...and don't forget to have fun doing it" "I understand that things get stressful, but just take a few minutes to calm down and work it out." AND "Remember the whole point of the day is to get married to the one you love."
Congratulations Ashley and Josh. May the 4th always be with you.
