How they met: Our two best friends were dating (married now) so we met through them and got to know each other just from the four of us always hanging out together.
How he proposed: Kenny and I were over at my parents house spending a relaxing evening out on the dock with my family. My dad said that he had bought something for my dog and took her up to the house. She came running back down to the dock with a new collar on her neck with a box attached to the collar. Kenny calls her over to us, takes the collar off, gets down on one knee and asks me if I will marry him. I was completely surprised, which was exactly what he wanted! Kenny knew that involving our dog in the proposal would mean so much to me. He planned the most special proposal and I will never forget how incredibly happy I felt in that one moment.
Wedding colors: Black, silver, and pink
How many bridesmaids: 7
Theme of Wedding (if you have one): We didnt start out planning a theme but one kind of emerged as the planning progressed. It seems our theme is our dog, Chance. I would have given anything to have Chance in the wedding but unfortunately that just wasnt possible so we are decking out the wedding all things Chance- Chance card box, Chance cake topper, Chance table numbers, etc.. she will be there in spirit J
Wedding Venues: The ceremony will take place in St. Joseph at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the reception is at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign.
Why you chose to shop at Michelles Bridal: Many of my friends have been married this past year so Ive done a lot of bridesmaid dress shopping at Michelles. Every time I went in the shop, I was always warmly welcomed and was always given amazing service. All of the employees at Michelles Bridal are fun and great to work with. I knew that I would be well taken care of now that its time to do the shopping for my big day.
Part of your wedding you are most looking forward to: ALL OF IT! I cant wait to see the months and months of planning come together, I cant wait to celebrate the most memorable time of my life with all of my amazing friends and family. Most of all, I cant wait to see my best friend waiting for me at the altar.
Where you are going on your honeymoon: Riviera Maya! We are staying at the all- inclusive Secrets Silversands Resort in the Riviera Maya. We are going to relax on the beach, soak in the sun, and sip on some pina coladas all week long
