He never would have guessed the girl who caught his eye at a New Years Eve party 6 years ago would cross his path again.  She didn't even realize the "random" friend of a friend saving her from sleeping  at O'Hare over night had noticed her years before. And that's not even where this love story begins.  It wasn't until a mutual friend's wedding additional years later that Emily & Ryan slowed down to really pay attention to each other. From there it was easy.  Well, as easy as living in separate states gets. But if fate brought that beautiful blonde from the New Years Eve party across his path again, Ryan wasn't going to let a few hundred miles stop him! Emily had a beautifully calm morning, filled with memories of preparing for high school dances, getting ready alongside her childhood best friend and maid of honor at her parents farm in Wyoming, IL. It was amazing how relaxed such a normally busy morning became when done in such a familiar place. You know I loved Emily's wedding shoes!  :) Ryan chose to wear his grandfather's watch for the big day.  It's personal touches like this that I adore and make a momentous day all the more special. And now for the PRIME example as to why I love First Looks.  It's very difficult to have the space for intimate moments such as these when everyone else is staring at you... Simply adorable.  I also LOVE all the details to Emily's dress.  The one shoulder strap, the ruffles, the layers of pleated fabric on top, the ruffles... Oh, and did I mention how much fun the ruffles were to photograph?  :) Time to head to the church! Emily & Ryan were married in Emily's hometown of Wyoming, IL in the perfect little quaint church.  Emily has been staring at the details painted all throughout St. Dominic's Catholic Church her entire life and she wasn't kidding when she said you could get lost in them. In true football fan fashion, when Ryan had a little difficulty with lighting the Unity Candle, he called a timeout! Yes, I'm taking advantage of being the keeper of this little bloggy-blog and posting this image twice because it deserves it.  You two are STUNNING!  As is the difference in the textures of the branches, clouds, rough grass and of course, the ruffles! After a quick quiet moment together as husband and wife, it was time to head to the reception at the Four Points Sheraton in downtown Peoria, IL. Da Groom and Da Bears :) Told you the ruffles were outstanding! And the party rocked on. Gee, can't imagine where Emily gets her adorableness from...  Too cute! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brodie!  Emily, your hometown reminded me so much of my own and it was an absolute joy to capture your special day.  The love between you both is so apparent in the adorable giddy nature you both get when you are inches away from kissing and the adorable giggles that quickly follow.
